Sales Guy A.K.A. Travel Agent?

So I decided to go shopping for some comfortable walking shoes for Europe. Apparently flip flops aren't the best way to trek across a continent. Who knew? Lori told me about Mountain High Outfitters so I gave it a try. While I was awkwardly fumbling around the store, one of the sales associates must have sensed my inability to make a decision and started up a conversation with me. I don't know what it is about people who work in retail. Maybe during their training they are taught how to pick out the customers who have no idea what they are doing in that store.

Anyway, we awkwardly made eye contact and I feigned disinterest while Ryan (that's the sales guy. Hi Ryan!) saw through my facade and approached me. He asked me what I was looking for, so I told him about our trip. I pretty much tell every stranger I come in contact with about our trip. Needless to say Ryan was jealous. He told me about his honeymoon and how he spent it traveling through Ireland. Then he gave me advice on some good places to visit. He mentioned Brú na Bóinne which is a prehistoric site made up of tombs, standing stones and hedges that date back before the ancient Egyptian pyramids. How awesome is that? You can check it out at http://www.myguideireland.com/bru-na-boinne-visitor-centre

I am really excited about it! So here's a thanks to you Ryan for letting me know about this amazing piece of history. Thanks for the advice on shoes. I actually bought some Keens and I'm hoping they work out. I will be sure to have a drink for you at the Guinness museum!

  1. Just make sure you don't get a fabulous pedicure and then step into a sewer drain in the middle of the sidewalk and have to get tested for AIDS. It's been known to happen.... :)
